Version History

Somni’s Engine is in open beta. Somni Foundation does not publish formal patch notes on a public schedule. This page records what we can verify from the official Roblox experience page, in-game observations, and confirmed player reports.

Somni Foundation has no official Discord, no Trello, and no social media. All information here comes from what we can see on the Roblox page or confirm in-game. We do not publish version numbers we cannot verify.

How to read this page

Each entry includes:

  • Date: when we first confirmed the change
  • What changed: the observable fact
  • Source: how we confirmed it

If a change is unconfirmed, it stays off this page. Rumors, Discord posts, and unofficial server posts are not sources.

Confirmed timeline

20 August 2026 — Experience created

What: Somni’s Engine experience published on Roblox.

Source: Roblox experience page creation date.

Notes: Experience marked as Beta immediately. Official description warned about bugs and frequent restarts. Group page stated objective as “fix bugs.”

Early access period — Beta Tester badge window

What: Players who joined during the first waves received the Beta Tester badge automatically.

Source: Badge description in-game: “So our story begins.”

Notes: Badge appears to have been granted during the launch window only. No confirmed method to earn it after the fact.

3 September 2026 — Status check

What: Experience still marked Beta. Code Beta still grants 500 Prisms. No confirmed second code.

Source: Roblox experience page, official description text check.

Notes: Last confirmed check of codes and status. Codes may change without warning when the description text updates.

Ongoing — Frequent restarts

What: Servers restart without advance notice. Restarts can be crash loops, datastore issues, or place publishes.

Source: Player reports, in-game observation.

Notes: This is expected behavior for open beta. Do not treat every restart as a content patch. Check the HUD for new perk icons or missing wrench charges to identify actual patches.

What we cannot confirm

Without official patch notes, we cannot confirm:

  • Specific version numbers
  • Exact balance changes to perks, gear, or toons
  • Machine quota changes per zone
  • Manic spawn rates or behavior changes
  • Any content added after launch

How to report a change

If you observed a confirmed change in-game:

  1. Note the exact date and time
  2. Describe what you observed (new perk icon, changed tool stats, different machine count, etc.)
  3. Check if the change persisted after a server restart
  4. Do not report rumors from unofficial Discord servers

We will add verified changes to this timeline. Unverified reports stay off this page.
