How to Play Loaffle in Somni's Engine
The Homeward is a bread-cat healer, three Aroma charges, and the forgiving first Recruit.
Loaffle “The Homeward” is the healer Recruit of Somni’s Engine. 500 Prisms from shopkeeper Somni — the same wallet as Magni, and exactly what the Beta code pays. Bread-cat, sister of Toasten, Mira-sponsored. Official thumbnail pair with the magnet-wrench. Veterans call Loaffle the best beginner because the kit is even and the heal is a squad tool. Kit numbers live on the toon roster. Buy order lives on best starters. The hide/fight split lives on the Toons Hub. Sibling playbooks: Magni and Loaffle.
Do not save the 500 for a 1000-Prism kit. Beta is 500 Prisms. Loaffle is 500. Redeem it on the codes hub, then buy this healer.
The kit, without the bakery read
- Every baseline stat is 3: HP, Stamina, Walk, Run, Stealth, Strength, Repair, Extract, Scavenge, Sight.
- Active Loafy Aroma: recover 15 HP on yourself and up to three nearest toons, 15s cooldown, three charges.
- Passive Rising Yeast: recover 15 HP when a new zone loads.
The 3s mean you can Extract Ether, Repair pumps, Scavenge boxes, and turn Valves at a normal pace. You are not Peanut’s Stealth 5 and you are not Shermie’s HP 8. Play Loaffle as support who still finishes machines, not as a tourist who only presses Aroma in doorways.
For the sibling fight alt, wait for how to play Toasten. For the tank, wait for how to play Shermie.
Loafy Aroma — when to press it
Aroma is a charge pool, not a fidget.
Press it when:
- A teammate just ate a hit and is still in cover.
- You clipped a Blob (50 HP chaser) and need to stand back up.
- Two or three allies are clustered after a machine. One press can hit three nearest.
- Something Noticed You resolved and people are limping, not sprinting.
Do not press it when:
- Everyone is full. Dumping charges in Zone 1 is how you have zero when Magni gets clipped on a pump.
- You are the only body in range and the wounded are a room away. Walk first.
- The speaker is red. Aroma does not stealth you. Sprint-heal is still Too noisy!.
- A Manic owns the doorway. Heal after the break, not as a greeting.
Three charges, 15s cooldown. Hold one. The player who just got noticed is the reason you bought a healer. Stand still for the pulse. Aroma is nearest-toon, not a beam down a corridor. Stay with the wounded, not with the loot.
Rising Yeast is a floor bandage
Fifteen HP on a new zone is free. You do not press it.
- Do not skip a real med on the previous floor because “Yeast will fix it.” Fifteen is a bandage, not an Ether Pack.
- Plant on a machine after the tick. The passive is not permission to loot-tour the first room.
- Pair it with Aroma later in the floor, not immediately, unless someone loaded in already dying.
Rising Yeast does not replace how to survive. Quota still wins.
Support first, still do work
You still take a machine. Split from Magni: they Magnetize pumps, you cover the wounded and finish the leftover Valve. Walk more than you run. Stealth 3 is average. How to hide still applies. Aroma into a sprint is how beginners throw the forgiving kit.
Leave boxes to Peanut if you have one — how to play Peanut is that job. Strength 3 can swipe a Blob off a teammate; it cannot 1v1 a Manic for content. Manics are enemy counterparts of Recruits. If one walks in, Aroma the living, then leave the contact to a fight kit.
Holster guns on hide nights. The gear list already parks Popket in the fight column. Candle, repair tool, med — the Getting Started bar. If Luckee spends your heals as license to spin, send them to how to play Luckee after the run.
Deep floors stretch the charge math. Read deep zones before you treat three Aromas as a floor-20 budget. The wandering engine wants a healer with a charge left.
Perks that match the loaf
Recruit-exclusive traits stay on Loaffle. Do not D6 a lockbox hoping to steal them onto Magni.
- Feline Instinct — the cat lane. Peek before you Aroma into a blind corner.
- Extra Flour — more bakery resource. Heals are the kit.
- Sour Dough — the tougher loaf. Helps you survive the hit you walked in to heal.
- Nine Slices — more pieces of the same job. Do not reroll it for luck.
Intermission perks cost ZP, not Prisms. On the perks list, grab Patch Up, Extra Health, Etherite, and Cushion before Cyan Balloon. Machine Oil and Tool Kit still help you finish quota between heals. Skip Ferro Thorn — that is Magni’s lane. Farm extra Prisms with how to farm Prisms only after this kit is bought.
Squad job
On the run checklist, write “Loaffle = heals + leftover machines.” Call “Aroma” before you press so Magni does not wrench-swing through the pulse. Call “one charge left” so Peanut stops taking greedy hits. Call “out” when the pool is empty.
Hold a charge. Walk to the wounded. Finish a machine while you wait for the 15s. Then Loaffle is The Homeward instead of a 500-Prism tourist. If you wanted pumps and melee, that is Magni. Until the heals click, stay on this kit.
