Somni's Engine Toon Roster
Every shop Recruit with cost, title, active, passive, and a hide, fight, or support job.
This roster is the shop list from Somni, not a leak dump. Eight Recruits. If a name is not here, it is not a buyable kit. For who to purchase first, use starter toons. For perk trays, use the perks list. Playable deep-dives exist for Magni, Loaffle, Toasten, Shermie, Peanut and Luckee. Hunters sit on Manics.
Magni and Loaffle are the official thumbnail pair: magnet-wrench head with a red scarf standing back to back with the bread-cat. Start there when you are matching art to a menu name.

Even lines (Loaffle, Magni, Luckee) play different games because the actives differ. Uneven lines tell you the job before you read flavor.
Loaffle — The Homeward
Bread-cat, sister of Toasten, Mira-sponsored. Active Loafy Aroma: recover 15 HP to self and up to three nearest toons, 15s cooldown, three charges. Passive Rising Yeast: 15 HP on a new zone. Veterans call Loaffle the best beginner because the kit is forgiving and the heal is a squad tool. You will still die to Too noisy! if you sprint the heal into a doorway. Full playbook: how to play Loaffle.
Magni — The Industrious
Magnet-head with a wrench. Active Magnetized: +2 work levels for 10s, 20s cooldown. Passive Wrangling: +1 work to everyone for 30s on a new zone. Better than Loaffle if you can machine-rush and melee. Ferro Thorn reflect perks pair with the fight read. Magni is the thumbnail partner of Loaffle for a reason: one heals the quota, one finishes it. Full playbook: how to play Magni.
Luckee — The Lucky
Gumball / prize-wheel toon who talks in the third person. Active Spin to win: a random item by wheel color, 10s cooldown. Passive Reroll!: +5 Luck, and on a new zone Luckee increases and decreases a random stat (WalkSpeed cannot change). 777 Prisms is a joke you pay for. The dedicated guide is how to play Luckee.
Toasten — The Judge
Toaster-dog, Loaffle’s sibling. Title The Judge. Active Shocking Plug!: 30 damage plus a 3s slow, 30s cooldown. Passive Bravery: 30% speed for 20s on a new zone. Combat-leaning: HP 4, Strength 4, Scavenge 4, Stealth 2. First fight alt after you outgrow a 500-Prism kit, not a hide main. Full playbook: how to play Toasten.
Peanut — The Insomniac
HP 2, Strength 1, Stealth 5, Scavenge 5, Run 4. Active Boxed In: box form, -50% speed, +50% resist, +5 stealth, +10 stealth if stationary; reverts on hit; 10s cooldown. Passive Trembling Grip is -2 Accuracy. Fleeting Presence adds extra noise reduction while quiet. Veterans are blunt: learn hide or you are dead weight, and even a Blob (50 HP chaser) can kill you. Full playbook: how to play Peanut.
Nara — The Observer
Camera narrator. Extract 5, Sight 6, Walk 2, Run 2. Active MiniCam lasts three minutes and detects on line of sight. Panic Flash on a hit over 25 blinds and deaggros for 5s. Camera Anatomy is the body rule. Nara watches Extract machines (Ether) and calls Manics. Nara is not a 500-Prism lesson.
Carie — The Caretaker
Teddy. HP 6, Strength 5, Stamina 4, Run 1, Sight 1. Active Mother’s Embrace: hug a toon, +10 stealth and +100% resist for 2s, heal 40 HP per charge, up to three charges, 20s cooldown. Slowest runner in the shop. Carie is a late support buy for squads that already hide, not a solo sprint kit.
Shermie — The Soldier
Sherman tank toon. HP 8, Walk 1, Run 5, Strength 5, Repair 1, Extract 1. Active Fire!: 50 contact plus 50 explosion, 30s cooldown. Passive Tank Anatomy: +10 armor, 100% push resist, half stamina regen, ram while running, Ball Gun. Costs 4300 Prisms and Purple Hearted. If you cannot beat the engine, you cannot main Shermie. Full playbook: how to play Shermie.
Manics are not Recruits
Manics are enemy counterparts of Recruits. They hunt you; they do not sit in Somni’s shop. Project Eclipse (Moonie) is Somni’s own Manic counterpart — Inkchor fused with Ether, floor 30 and every 30 floors, 1000 HP plus 500 per extra player, armor 10. That fight is how to beat Eclipse, not a ninth roster row. The hunter list is Manics. Deep floors that spawn Manic Shermie sit on deep zones.
Callouts that work with names
- “Loaffle on heals, save a charge.”
- “Magni Magnetized on the pumps.”
- “Peanut is boxed, do not shoot the box.”
- “Luckee just Rerolled, check the stat.”
- “Shermie rams, give the hallway.”
Those five lines run a squad. Fancy nicknames do not. Swap kits in the lobby, not mid-zone. Beta menus hitch, and a failed swap during Something Noticed You is a death. Keep the run checklist open so the names exist before the first maroon hallway.
Use this page as a shop cheat sheet. Use the Toons Hub when you only need the hide/fight split. Use Getting Started if you still have not claimed Beta. The roster will not grow because a Discord OC sheet says so.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Isle of Dreams runs.
Who is on the official Somni's Engine thumbnail?
Magni and Loaffle, back to back. They are also the two 500-Prism Recruits.
Do Recruits have Manic counterparts?
Yes. Manics are enemy versions of Recruits. Project Eclipse is Somni's Manic counterpart.
What does Luckee's Reroll passive do?
Plus 5 Luck, then on a new zone it raises and lowers a random stat. It cannot change WalkSpeed.
Can I buy Shermie with Prisms only?
No. You need 4300 Prisms and the Purple Hearted badge from the wandering engine.
