How to Beat Eclipse in Somni's Engine
Project Eclipse is Moonie on floor 30. Bring Remmy, a warehouse, and a squad that already hides.
Witness Eclipse is the badge for defeating Project Eclipse — Moonie, the abominable fusion of Inkchor and Ether, Somni’s manic form. The fight is scripted around floor 30 (and every 30 after). Read this after how to beat the wandering engine, not instead of it. Purple Hearted is the wanderer. Witness Eclipse is the fusion. Mixing those names in chat is how squads prep the wrong kit.
Unlike the wanderer, Eclipse has posted combat numbers we can actually use: 1000 HP, plus 500 HP per extra player, and armor 10. A duo is 1500. A four-stack is 2500. Plan the shotgun math before you pull, not during the beam.
Who should attempt this
- Players who already clear Extract / Repair / Scavenge / Valves on autopilot (survive).
- Squads that can search without sprinting (hide).
- Loadouts with a real heal, a real shotgun, and perks that are not novelty junk (perks, gear).
- At least one toon whose ability heals, relocates, or body-blocks (toons).
If your last death was Too noisy!, you are not an Eclipse group yet. Finish Getting Started and controls first.
Prep checklist
- Confirm Beta Prisms are already spent on the kit via codes. Do not open the box in a boss lobby. 500 buys Loaffle or Magni; this fight wants more than a tutorial hire.
- Assign roles on the run checklist: interrupt, heal, damage, noise watch.
- Bring extra med stacks. Ether Pack is a full HP refill. B.L.T is 100 plus a buff. H.N.C is 75. Ether Vial is half. Canned Tuna 15 and P.B.J 20 are not fusion food. Water / Soda / Coffee / 25th Hour keep stamina for the dodge windows.
- Guns: bring shotguns. Remmy at 30×8 is the Eclipse weapon. Popket (60, two rounds) is a backup burst. Sparket (30 plus flare) lights the room and paints you — use it once, on purpose. Melee: Sledger 80 daze for the stomp window, Ferro-Mace 60 plus reflect while unrepaired, Long Pipe 50, Knife 40, Plank 60 once.
- Toons: Loaffle heals. Carie (3000) hug-tanks. Peanut scouts with Boxed In + Fleeting Presence, then unboxes for the commit. Nara (2000, camera) is information. Toasten is electric and loud. Luckee is a 777 wheel — do not roll it on the pull. Shermie is the Sherman you unlocked with Purple Hearted; bring the tank if you have it.
- Agree on a scatter point. Fight in a warehouse if the floor gives you one — pillars, sight lines, room to un-ragdoll after a stomp. A maroon hallway is a beam grave.
- Expect a restart. The beta page exists because bosses and servers both hiccup. Badge lag goes on known bugs. Somni Foundation has no official Discord; official links are the two Roblox URLs.
Stealth perks still matter on the walk to 30. Ear Muffs suppress noise 50%. Silent Gloves and Whisper Tea keep the search quiet. You cannot hide the fight. You can hide the approach.
Move list (commit with this, not vibes)
Moonie mixes melee, space, and a panic phase:
- Teleport — do not dump Remmy into the old tile.
- Stomp ragdoll — stamina must exist after you stand up, or the next stab deletes you.
- Stab — close, messy, wants you to panic-sprint.
- Wall-piercing beam — cover is not cover. Pillars help for stomps; they do not save you from the beam. Strafe, do not hug wallpaper.
- Low-HP invulnerability plus shadow geysers — when the bar looks almost dead, stop dumping ammo into i-frames. Wait out the geysers, then finish.
- Grab plus stab — isolated players die. Stack or scatter on call, never one-by-one “I can clutch.”
Ink pressure wants you to sprint. Ether pressure wants you to blow the toon ability on the first animation. Do neither. Armor 10 means chip melee (Knife, weak Popket plinks) wastes the window. Shotguns and Sledger daze are the plan.
During the fusion
Commit together. A fusion that notices one isolated player will delete them, then notice the Loaffle who runs in. The red Something Noticed You banner is a “stack or scatter” call, not a “everyone empty clips” call. If only one Remmy is up, hide the rest until reload is real.
Abilities on cooldown should already be cycling before you pull. The capture footage of triple cooldown text is a joke until it happens on Eclipse. Sweeper is for Ether puddles on machines, not for this arena — park it.
If the floor is not 30 (or 60, 90…), you are farming, not hunting. Go back to how to farm Prisms instead of standing in a lobby for an hour. Scrap still spends in the zone shop on the way down; Prisms still spend at Somni.
After a wipe
Do not immediately re-pull. Reset hotbars. Eat. Check who still has a fight perk versus a loot perk. Swap the player who cannot stop sprinting off interrupt duty. Then pull again. Rare badges are a process, not a vibe.
If two pulls fail, change one variable only: either the toon, or the commit timing, or the warehouse scatter point. Changing all three is how groups convince themselves the fight is “random.” It is not random. It is 1000 HP plus 500 per extra player, armor 10, with a beam that ignores your favorite wall.
Witness Eclipse is a spectator word. You still have to defeat the fusion. Watching from a plant pot will not grant the badge. Hide to arrive, fight in the warehouse to finish, leave to keep the save. Screenshot the badge. If it lags, wait out the datastore. Then go buy something useful — or send the sprinter back to starter toons before the next floor-30 queue.
