Somni's Engine Tools

The useful tools for Somni’s Engine are checklists, not cheat GUIs. This hub collects planners you can keep open on a second monitor while the Isle of Dreams restarts under you. The main sheet is the run checklist. Everything else on the wiki — codes, tier lists, guides — feeds that sheet.

We will not ship a fake damage calculator with invented engine HP. We will not ship a Prism/hour spreadsheet with guessed rates. When Somni Foundation publishes numbers, tools can get numbers. Until then, tools get questions.

What to open before you ready up

1. Run checklist — noise captain, Extract / Repair / Scavenge / Valves split, abort rule.
2. Codes — if you have not claimed Beta. 500 Prisms buys Loaffle or Magni.
3. Starter toons or gear — one column, hide or fight.
4. Known bugs — if the place has been kicking people tonight.

That four-tab setup beats a 40-page binder.

Tools we will add later

• A printable perk-tray legend once lockbox names stabilize
• A badge tracker for Purple Hearted, Witness Eclipse, and Beta Tester (“So our story begins.”)
• A restart log if publishes become frequent enough to timestamp

We will not add an executor loader. That belongs (and is refused) on the scripts hub and script safety.

How to use this wiki as a tool

Search is the tool. If you died to the speaker, you need how to hide. If you died at 7/8 machines, you need how to survive. If you died on a named boss, you need engine or Eclipse. If you died in a box you could not leave, you need Peanut. If the D8 betrayed you, you need Luckee. If you died to a fake Discord, you need community links.

Pin the updates hub during beta weeks. Unpin it when 1.0 exists.

A tool page that does not change your next hotbar is decoration. The checklist changes the hotbar. Open it.

How to run a tool night

Set a 20-minute timer. Open the run checklist and one guide that matches last night’s wipe. Do not open five hubs. Ready up as Loaffle or Magni unless the squad already agreed a fight column. After the zone, tick what you actually did. If the noise captain never spoke, you did not use the tool. Try again with a smaller stack.

That is the entire tools philosophy: fewer tabs, more callouts, no fake calculators. When official numbers exist, we will add a numbers page. Until then, a checklist is the only honest instrument. Pair it with beta status so you do not tool-prep a server that is about to restart.
