Somni's Engine Known Bugs

This list is practical. Somni’s Engine is in open beta; Somni Foundation asked you to expect bugs and said the current objective is to fix bugs. We log the patterns that waste runs. We do not invent ticket IDs, internal names, or a fake Jira. If a bug is just “the game is hard”, it belongs on how to hide, not here.

Restarts, kicks, empty servers

Symptom: server closes, teleport fail, empty experience list, “nobody playing.”
Do: rejoin from the Roblox page. Wait a minute if the place is publishing. Empty lobbies during a restart are expected, not a shutdown.
Don’t: install a “rejoin script”. See scripts and script safety.

Play shorter zones when kicks are frequent. Session advice is on beta status.

Stuck machines

Symptom: quota banner does not move, or a machine sits at nearly done. Extract, Repair, Scavenge, or Valves can all hitch.
Do: leave that object, find another. The Zone 13 capture needed eight; if one is bricked, the other seven still count.
Don’t: tunnel for five minutes while the speaker goes red.

If the whole quota is frozen, extract if you can or reset. Report by leaving; do not vote-kick teammates for a physics bug.

Delayed or missing badges

Symptom: you defeated the wandering engine or the fusion and Purple Hearted / Witness Eclipse did not appear.
Do: screenshot the kill, rejoin, check inventory/badges after a minute. Datastores lag.
Don’t: pay a stranger to “grant” the badge.

Beta Tester (“So our story begins.”) is participation. If that one is missing after a load-in, rejoin once; do not treat it as a skill check.

Boss routing: engine, Eclipse.

Codes box ignores Beta

Symptom: Beta returns invalid on a fresh night.
Do: rejoin lobby, check trailing spaces, confirm the description still prints the code on the codes hub.
Don’t: spam twenty casing variants. If it is gone, it will be on expired codes. Redeem steps: how to redeem.

Prisms flicker or vanish

Symptom: 500 gift shows, then zeros after a restart.
Do: rejoin twice, wait. If still zero, stop spending and wait a publish.
Don’t: buy a Prism generator. Script safety exists for this exact scam. Farm later with how to farm Prisms.

Ability cooldown stuck

Symptom: Ability on cooldown! never clears.
Do: die and respawn, or rejoin. Play as if you have no active.
Don’t: mash. Mashing is how the error stacks in footage. Peanut and Luckee both suffer if you panic-tap.

Noise widget lies (or feels like it)

Symptom: Too noisy! while walking, or no warning before Something Noticed You.
Do: assume the worse case. Walk anyway. Treat surprise notices as a beta tell plus a skill issue.
Don’t: uninstall. Recalibrate with controls and Ear Muffs on the gear list.

What is not a bug

• Dying to sprint. That is the speaker working.
• Eight machines on Zone 13. That is the quota.
• Rare bosses. The badge rates are the design.
• Ferro-Mace that cannot be repaired. That is the item text.
• Lack of official Discord. That is a group policy, see links.
• Shermie costing 4300 plus Purple Hearted. That is the shop, not a datastore.

How to report without feeding imitators

Use Roblox’s own report tools on the experience if you must. Do not join a “dev ticket Discord” that asks for your password. Somni Foundation told you they do not have community servers. Owner PuffieCrew is not staffing a lookalike helpdesk.

When a bug is patched, we strike it here and mention it on the updates hub. Until then, work around it and still finish the quota. The Isle of Dreams is mean. The beta is meaner. Your hotbar can still be correct.

How to tell skill issue from bug

If the speaker is red and you were sprinting, that is skill. If a machine never starts for anyone in the room after a rejoin, that is a bug. If a badge is rare, that is design. If Prisms vanish for the whole server after a publish, that is a datastore. Log the second kind. Practice the first kind with Getting Started and the run checklist. Mixing them is how forums fill with “the game is broken” posts from people who never holstered a Popket.

Do not “fix” a bug with a script

A stuck machine plus an executor is two problems. The first is on this list. The second is on script safety. Rejoin, swap wings, extract. If the whole server sees the same hitch, it is a publish. If only you see it, check your hotbar charges. Most unique bugs are empty wrenches and auto-sprint. The rest wait for Somni Foundation, who already said the current objective is to fix bugs.
